Covid prevention updates
At Bramley Care, the care and safety of all our residents and staff are our absolutely highest priority, but we also appreciate how important it is for our residents to stay in touch with their loved ones. We have garden visiting rooms at both Bramley House and The Old Rectory, with comfy seating areas separated by glass panels, where relatives and friends can visit residents, and we also offer socially-distanced visits on the patios.
For those residents for whom the trip to the garden visiting rooms is simply too arduous, maybe those reaching the end of their lives, visits can also be arranged in resident’s rooms, though very strict procedures must be followed in these situations.
The added benefit of keeping Bramley House and The Old Rectory so well protected from the outside is that, inside the homes, our residents can socialise freely with each other, enabling them to stay safe, happy and active, in the environment they know and love. Our staff encourage our residents to stay in touch with their loved ones via phone and Skype, giving them whatever technical assistance they may need. Inside both Bramley House and The Old Rectory, and on our Bramley Home Care rounds, we are taking every possible precaution to ensure that our residents and clients are kept safe from Covid-19. Our staff are all fully trained in the necessary precautions that must be taken at all times, and always use the correct Personal Protection Equipment. Please rest assured that the safety of our residents, clients and staff is always our highest priority, but especially in these challenging times.

Update 5th November 2020

We’ve checked the latest government guidelines carefully and are really pleased to be able to announce that visits to our garden visiting rooms at Bramley House and The Old Rectory can carry on as normal throughout this new lockdown.
Update 8th October 2020

At Bramley Care, we are doing our utmost to ensure that visits to our homes are handled as safely as possible. We fully appreciate that human contact is incredibly important for the wellbeing of our residents, but that keeping them safe from Covid-19 is also vital. With this in mind, we have made some updates to our visiting policies, which we have detailed in a letter from Richard Wagner, Director of Bramley Care, to the relatives of all our residents at Bramley House and The Old Rectory. Update 15th July 2020
With the Covid-19 infection rate currently looking reassuringly low in our area, we are now really pleased to be able to offer socially-distanced visits outside on the patios at Bramley House and The Old Rectory. The safety of our residents must of course always come first, so visits must be booked in advance, visitors will have to wear PPE (which we will provide), and social-distancing will be essential at all times, but it’s still a wonderful step in the right direction! If you’d like to book a visit to see your loved one, please ring Caroline at Bramley House or Vicki at The Old Rectory, who will be happy to book you in!

Update: 23rd June 2020

From next Monday onwards, friends and relatives will be able to book a slot to meet up with their loved ones in a safe and secure environment. We’re going to be seeing a lot of smiles.

Update: 26th May 2020
Good news is always worth sharing – our latest round of 124 Covid-19 tests, on all our staff and residents, at both The Old Rectory and Bramley House, has given us a completely clean bill of health. It’s what we expected, but it’s still always reassuring to have it confirmed. Thank you so much to all our wonderful carers, domestics, entertainment staff and chefs, who have done such an amazing job keeping our precious residents safe, well and happy in these challenges times.
And work on our new Garden Meeting Rooms is progressing really well too!

Update: 22nd May 2020
Work is well underway for the new Garden Meeting Room at Bramley House. It won’t be long now before you can see your loved ones again!

Update: 20th May 2020
We know how much our residents are missing their loved ones at this difficult time, so Bramley Care have bought two summerhouses, just like the one in the picture, to be used as garden meeting rooms. We are hoping to install them in the gardens at Bramley House and The Old Rectory as soon as possible, to allow friends and family to visit. The garden meeting rooms will be fitted with a glass safety screen in the middle, between the residents and their loved ones, to minimise the risk of our residents contracting the Covid-19 virus. It will just be so lovely for our residents to be able to see their loved ones again! We’ll let everyone know as soon as they are ready for use.
