Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Full-time | Monday - Friday | Dorset & Wiltshire

£32,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Bramley Care is looking for an experienced, highly capable and trustworthy Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our established maintenance team, supporting our three high-quality residential care homes.

For us, this appointment is as much about the person as it is their practical skills.

We are looking for someone dependable and conscientious who takes real pride in their work. Someone who can be trusted to work independently, who notices when something isn’t right and deals with it, and who understands that a job is not finished until it has been completed properly.

Our care homes are beautiful, characterful properties and the standard of their maintenance and presentation is extremely important to us. We therefore need a skilled professional who shares those standards.

This is not a general handyman or caretaker position. Previous professional maintenance experience is essential, together with a broad practical skillset which could include property repairs, decorating, carpentry, basic plumbing, minor electrical works within your competence, fixtures and fittings and preventative maintenance.

You will also be involved in the ongoing improvement and refurbishment of our properties.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced and genuinely multi-skilled

  • Confident with basic IT

  • Dependable and trustworthy

  • Proud of the quality of their workmanship

  • Proactive rather than waiting to be told what needs doing

  • Professional, organised and presentable

  • Comfortable working independently

  • Respectful and personable around older people

  • Looking for a long-term position with an established family-run business

You will join an existing team of maintenance professionals and work across our three care homes in Dorset and Wiltshire.

The position is full time, Monday to Friday, with participation in a shared out-of-hours on-call rota, for which an additional payment is made.

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

If you’re an experienced maintenance professional who takes pride in doing things properly and is looking for a position where your skills and contribution will genuinely be valued, we’d like to hear from you.
